This game uses a new idea, if you like the idea of growing your own army of

This is a Real Time Strategy (RTS) game.
It was made using Unity 3D and its URP (Universal Render Pipeline).
The idea of the game is to control a group of zombies and infect humans to make
them join your army.
Unity DOTS/ECS City
2020
An experimental Real-Time Strategy (RTS) prototype developed in 2020 to explore Unity's Data-Oriented Technology Stack (DOTS) and Entity Component System (ECS). The core gameplay revolved around a dynamic day-and-night cycle where players strategically organized and managed their own protests. Although it showcased promising mechanics, the project was ultimately archived; the early DOTS framework was highly unstable at the time, with frequent crashes and rapidly shifting APIs that made sustained development impractical.

I’m incredibly proud to announce that my team Sam Jager, Dante van der Pijl, Julian Bakker, Vladislav Manolov and I took home the Rockstars Impact Award at the AFC Ajax Hackathon this weekend, beating out ~200 talented developers across 24 teams! âš½ï¸Â💻
When I read that we will be presented with Ajax’s dataset, a detailed 21-point skeletal tracking system of player limb movements, I thought about how cool it would be to use Realtime 3D and Unity to make a Virtual Reality sim experience. So, I packed up my VR headset and headed to the hackathon.
What we built:
While most teams focused on 2D analytics dashboards, we wanted to build an immersive spatial simulation. Leveraging my experience in C# and XR development, I built a Unity VR engine that reads the complex 21-point tracking data and translates it into a realtime, first-person Virtual Reality environment. We put the judges in a headset and took them on a tour of the match directly through the eyes of an Ajax player, allowing them to see the exact situation from the player's or referee's perspective.
